Disk of dough
Now you can make a pie at home like a pro! We're now selling pre-made disks of pie dough that you can stick in the freezer and then use at your leisure. This is the real deal, folks - our famous all-organic, all-butter crust. It can be used for both sweet and savory applications (aka, pies, tarts, quiches, savory turnovers, etc!)
- Makes one bottom crust with enough scrap dough for a lattice top. (Trim the edge after rolling out your bottom crust, then ball up the scraps, chill for 30 minutes, and roll out again to make lattice!)
- INSTRUCTIONS: Allow to thaw in the refrigerator before use. NEVER use heat to defrost this dough! The dough can remain refrigerated for up to 7 days before rolling out. Alternatively, store in the freezer for up to 6 months. Once thawed, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough and then fit it into a buttered 9-inch pie plate. Trim excess edge of the dough so that the overhang barely touches the counter. Chill the rolled out dough in the pie tin for at least 1 hour before proceeding. Either create a fluted edge and prebake for a single crust pie, or use another disk of rolled out dough for a double crusted fruit pie.
