About the class:

Join Three Babes Bakeshop for a two-day intensive class on how to make the perfect cream pie from beginning to end! From making our flaky all-butter crust, to mixing a perfectly smooth pastry cream filling, this class will give you all the tips and tricks we use to make our famous pies.

This class will take place over the course of two sessions and will cover both banana cream and chocolate cream pie. Baking instructor Zoe Williams will give a full pie making demonstration and take your questions while you bake along at home. You will finish this class with one whole banana cream pie and one whole chocolate cream pie.

Difficulty level: Intermediate (This isn't the best class for novice bakers but it's ok if you've never made pastry cream before!)

Day 1 (approx. 2-2.5 hrs)

  • Mixing all-butter pie dough
  • Making pastry cream
  • Rolling out dough and fluting crust

Day 2 (approx. 1 hr)

  • Pre-baking pie crust
  • Making whipped cream/toppings
  • Assembling your pie!

 What's included:

This pie kit is available for pick up or delivery in San Francisco only. (For our national shipping kits click here.) Your pie kit will have everything you need to bake along with the class. After sign up you will receive a digital packet which will include a link to access the class live stream and our pie recipe. 

* Digital packets will be sent by email on May 1st. Kits will be available for delivery or pick up at our kitchen on May 14th only.

For the class, you will need:

  • Cooking scale
  • Large heavy-bottom sauce pan
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • Two medium to large mixing bowls
  • Tin foil or parchment paper
  • Pie weights, dried rice, or dried beans
  • Two storage containers
  • Rolling pin
  • Plastic wrap
